swimming in this waterfall was fantastic!
The current from the waterfall created a natural endless swimming spa that westeners spend thousands to create our natural spa was priceless.

The value of this waterfall to the village is inmeasurable as Asenvari is becoming a popular yachtie stop over. the waterfall enables fresh water to be piped throughout the village. just two days prior to our arrival a hydro electric gen0rator was installed, some cannadians had organised a grant for this project costing a total of $1o,ooo. i guess that is US $ but it is really only a small amount of money and makes such a difference to the village.
Chief Nelson was very welcoming and introduced us to his daughter-in-law Vivien who organized and assisted having our laundry done in the recently installed public laundry facillity, this was just a double trough with a stop valve style tap with a short length of hose directing the water into either trough. the water pressure being feed from the waterfall was amazing . as we stood at the troughs washing our 'smalls' we were viewing the perfect tropical bay view with banana and coconut palms, crystal blue water.
The women were intriguied with our laundry prewash but had trouble understanding that it only works if you use it before you wash the cloths ...even with Susan as an intupreter it can be difficult to teach new ideas!

Gerry as "the water boy" carting buckets of water to the tender then back to the boat to refill aour fresh water supplies onboard.
